Bagan, Myanmar 2018

I have always wanted to write a post about Bagan but I don't have the time.

With MCO in place, I finally found the motivation and time to write about it.

If you have read my previous post about Myanmar, you know that I didn't plan much about this trip because I have helpful colleagues and ex-colleagues!

I think Myanmar was the only country that I really missed and kept recommending people around me to visit! It was also the only place that I kept wanting to show others the photos I took and no photos can fully describe how I felt being there and how I missed Bagan!

I know why my tour guide Naing often pray in Bagan to allow him to go back to Bagan again now!

Other than the sceneries and fruits,

I like how the people there are simple, sincere, helpful.

However, looking at the developments going on in Yangon,

I'm afraid that it might lose its authenticity soon...

When I was there, people are still wearing traditional clothing everywhere even in Yangon!

I see some young teenagers beginning to wear some modern clothing but I really like how they are still wearing sarungs everywhere they go.

In my mind, I think probably this was how Malaysia was once upon a time...

Also, the stalls along the roadside with the plastic chairs...

I don't think we can still see such a scene anymore as time goes by.

The cost of food is not high in Bagan considering it as a tourist spot.

On average, when we eat in a normal restaurant, it only cost us about RM 10 - RM15/meal including a drink.

If you don't mind eating along the roadside, I think the price can be cheaper.

However, our tour guide told us that we should not take the roadside food due to hygiene issues.

So we just eat where ever he brought us.

The food portions can be quite big, at least for me... 

As Myanmar is getting more and more popular among Chinese tourists,

I'm glad that I have been there before the rush of tourists....

Although I'm slightly late as compared to other earlier tourist,

I'm really glad that I went before it becomes so popular among Chinese tourists.

Overall, Myanmar is not an affordable place to travel but it's definitely a GREAT and AMAZING place to travel!

I wished to go back again and travel to Mandalay, Inle Lake, Golden Rock, and definitely BAGAN again!!!

有时候我在想，我希望缅甸可以一直保持着她原来的面貌，

因为我不想现代化改变她纯真和友善的面貌，

更不想她变身成为现代化的城市，

因为我觉得那样的缅甸就不是原来的缅甸了。

可能年纪大了，希望很多的人事物可以维持不变，

但是现实却是残酷的，没有人事物是会维持不变的。

我很庆幸我看到了她还没有完全变身和拥有一部分原始的一面，

因为她让我了解和有机会一探以前的年代，可能KL60-60年代也是这样吧。。。

穿着sarung到处走，路边摊的矮桌矮凳，

他们都是plastic和红色的。

Chow Kit也曾经是最多人的地方。

现在哪里变成了外劳和背包客的地方，

不能代表KL。

但是如果你问我那哪里才是代表KL的地方？

我答不出，因为我也想说KL的变化太多了。

很多人说KL进步得很慢，但是我却不认得现在的KL了。

Pavilion, Mid Valley, KLCC？

这些是代表KL的吗？

我觉得它们代表了现代化的KL，

不是我和我爸妈生活过的年代的KL。

How did I end up travelling in Myanmar

When I told my family & friends that I will be travelling to Yangon, Myanmar in December 2018, the first question that most of them asked was, WHY?

Honestly, I don't have an answer to that question. Because my intention was to pay my colleagues a visit in their home country. Also, we have a few ex-colleagues who retired and I thought that it would be nice to visit & catch up with them. That's all.

However, that's not the end because we also need to plan for our trips there since my colleagues can't be with me ALL the time.

Before we decide to visit Myanmar, I didn't even know about a city named Bagan. Yangon was the only city that I know for Myanmar. Our initial intention was to visit our retired colleagues who resides in Yangon now, as well as paying our current colleagues a visit in their home country. Our intention was simple and little did I expect it to turn into such an amazing experience!

Since we were travelling as 2 girls only, our colleagues were concerned about our safety. So they actually looked for acquaintances who run travel business to arrange for the tour for us and their suggestion was to visit Bagan because it's one of the most famous tourist location.

Usually, I will do some research and surveys in different travel fairs and read some online blogs to decide on either signing up for a tour package, signing up for day tours, or travel by myself.

However, due to the short amount of time for planning and both my colleague and myself were busy with our work. We allowed our colleagues to give us suggestions and travel with what they have found for us. Although I was doubtful and was concerned about the price, I went ahead and confirmed since it will be a peak season travelling in Myanmar and it's their winter time, which was a perfect timing for their locals to travel there too!

And I have to say, maybe it was just an average tour for others, but I guess perhaps when I went for the tour without much expectation helped elevating my experience in Bagan!

The tour guide, Naing was really helpful and meets all our needs and wants (reasonable ones) and he will do the extra things needed to make us enjoy the tour.

By the way, he said that hes starting his own business and our tour with him will be the last tour for the company that he's working with. Then I thought that it'll be nice if there are people who support him when he's starting and I felt that by writing a blogpost, this is something that I can do to show my appreciation.

p/s: Because he doesn't know how I wanted my photo to be, so I'll usually take a photo of him and then tell him the take the same one. But... I'll let you judge yourself if there are similar.

Despite the photography skills, I'll definitely recommend his service because I'm sure about one thing, that he will try his best to make sure that you're trip with him is comfortable and worth the visit and he doesn't mind to go extra miles to fulfill your needs & wants!

I feel that some seasoned tour guides will do the bare minimal/the required things and will not care about you but just to complete their task just like completing a checklist,  I think I  know how to differentiate after travelling for a few times with a tour guide. Otherwise, maybe when they can get commission,  they'll do it and show you extra hospitality.

To be honest, I was hesitating and doubtful if it's worth it because it's expensive for a third world country initially. And yes, I'm speaking from living in a third world country myself.

But I will revel the cost of the trip where we were quoted a 3D2N tour for 285 USD.

In my mind, I was thinking "are you kidding me?" My 5D4N trip to Bangkok doesn't cost that much after including all the food expenses, flight ticket and hotel. But this alone costs me 285USD without food included and staying in a 2 star hotel. With the experience of temple hopping in Chiang  Mai,  I was thinking if I want to do something similar again.

However, my colleague from Myanmar was telling me that this is the standard price and when I go online, yes, some tour companies do show similar price range.

Thus, for my safety,  I've decided to go on with the plan.

Fortunately or unfortunately,  because I was travelling with a Muslim colleague,  so she doesn't take any photos with the templs and I'm privilege to have all the attention of the tour guide, and the driver. haha...

They were very accommodating to help me to take all the 38 photos although I did compromise on many of my photos too...because I feel bad to ask them to keep taking photos...

Last but not least,  I didn't regret this trip at all because even in my dream, I dreamt about the sunset after I'm back from Bagan!!!!! OMG!!!!

Words can't describe how I felt.

It was really a once in a lifetime experience that one cannot simply forgot.

动力火车演唱会

很久没有试过放假， 所以当我看到我妈可以拿到动力火车演唱会的票时，

我就立刻说我想去。

其实我姐和我弟媳也想去，只不过因为接近她的预产期，

所以我弟不让她去，不然我也是没有机会去的。

然后我们还安排了云顶两天一夜行。

我还故意排开了工作，为的就是可以享受一下。

毕竟还有两间房间，可以睡得很舒服。

可是人算不如天算，虽然我们把一切都安排好了。

就在下午4点多，我弟媳说她来红，应该是要生了。

所以到最后，我们没有得过夜，可是因为订了票不拿会有penalty，

为了避免被罚，我们就打算去看了演唱会后立刻回家。

haih,我的假期啊~~~

虽然我对动力火车的歌一点都不熟悉，

可是他们的唱功、舞台设计、灯光、荧幕background等都有让我震撼到。

果然20年纪念演唱会有下本钱啊！

其实整场演唱会下来，我会的歌寥寥无几，

而且听到后面uncle在唱他们的歌时都让我觉得惭愧。

但是在最后的时候让我惊喜的就是那首还珠格格的歌。

最impressive的是，他们很准时开场。

对我来说很重要！

大家都不要浪费大家的时间不就很好吗？

虽然当中他们有miss掉歌词和音上不去，可是我可以知道的是他们是唱现场

所以我很appreciate这件事。

演唱会当中没有太多浪费时间而不唱歌的安排，

我很喜欢这样的安排。

相比我之前看的另一个演唱会，

我的结论就是他们的演唱会很值得看啊！！！

如果我是买票进来看的话，我会觉得值回票价，

不会有被欺骗的感觉。

最后就是我家的新成员。

回顾2017

去年，在Jeng Mun的鼓励下开启了instagram的account,

一开始只是玩玩罢了，久而久之就有一点点的上瘾了。

我个人觉得比FB有趣，所以时不时都会上载一些日常生活照片。

那天一直看到有人post#2017bestnice的照片，就问了我弟媳如何弄。

今天终于把它弄出来了。

我很满意！

因为我没有想到里面竟然包含了我去年大大小小的achievement和点点滴滴。

一开始是因为旅行照而开始，然后也囊括了家人，我可爱的柔柔，工作，爬神山挑战记，食物 （#llaollao），朋友，和生日...

当然还有婚礼。。。这两年是朋友婚礼的高峰期，陆陆续续的出席了不少的婚礼。。。

2018年，陆陆续续的还是有婚礼要出席。。。

还有，看着照片，我想我最多的#大概就是#bestauntintheworldalive... 哈哈。。。

而且我深深的体会到要带宝宝出门是多么麻烦的一件事。

要带的东西多，时间也要迁就他们的睡觉时间，不然就是大件事。。。

还有，出去的时间也不能太长，因为他们要睡觉。

出门一次就无敌累！

简直就是无敌铁金刚。。。

我很好奇当年我妈是怎样看我们5个的。。。

今年又会多一个宝宝，我不知道我还会不会带他们出门。。。

因为真的很辛苦的~~~

可是应该是会吧，因为我想带我妈到处走走啊！

总括来说，一开始我觉得我的2017年没有什么值得怀念的。。。

可是看了照片以后，我对我的2017年很满意。

原来照片帮我珍藏了那么多值得纪念的时光，

还有很多的achievements!

我想我2018年会继续上载，因为我个人很懒惰做这些回顾，

可是现在的科技却帮我自动做了记录和回顾，

希望2018年有更多的回忆和achievements. 

如果可以的话，还是希望今年可以毕业。。。

那么就可以更专注在其他的事情上了。

Kota Kinabalu “小插曲”

话说我的朋友在KK爬完山后为了犒赏自己就想要尝试一间“网上”“知名”海鲜店。

4个人，其中一个是吃素的。另一位就还好。

可是去到那家店时，我发现到那些海鲜的价格都很贵，不是在我预想中的价格。

虽然我不是很熟悉海鲜的价格，

但是其中一种鱼类是我在KL都有在吃的，可是价钱却比KL还贵。

这时我就很怀疑这是不是一家“黑店”，

或是专做游客生意的店。

当我们挣扎要不要吃的时候，那两位朋友因为一些事情而离开了。

所以剩下我和她决定要不要进去吃。

对我来说，我是不想当“水鱼”给人“剖”，

还有一位朋友的预算也是有限，

可是为了朋友，我选择了放弃金钱。

所以我说如果她真的想要吃，我可以陪她进去吃。

但是她拒绝了。

但是当我们回到比较平价的吃海鲜的地方时，她就有在和我斗气。

然后问了虾的价钱以后就一副觉得价钱不便宜的样子挂在脸上。

然后说第一条ikan bakar是臭了的，要换过一条。

一直问为什么这样的鱼都吃的下，吃了第二天会生病之类的。

一直问我吃不出吗？平时没有吃鱼的么？

其实我是很生气的，可是为了愉快的旅途，我选择不出声。

我很感谢她吃出了那条鱼的不妥，可是换过就好啦。

一直在问是怎样？当下的我很想说，我很少吃ikan bakar的，

我平常都只是在吃清蒸的游水鱼啊！！！我怎么会分?

你叫我分清蒸鱼好不好吃我就会，ikan bakar没有研究啊！

而且也不健康，我平常是不吃的！！！

都说我都只吃清蒸/活鱼再拿去煮不同煮法的鱼啊！

但是我选择不出声，因为我觉得没有必要和她争吵。

选择今天写出来是因为刚刚驾车的时候想到了很好的比喻，

也有可能是因为还看不开，所以想要写下来。

这个经验就像是一位朋友告诉你到了这个地方一定要买LV.

虽然这里的LV比你来自的地方贵/一样价钱，可是还是要买啊！

你不知道LV出名的吗？来到这里一定要买的！！！

但是作为一个只是用惯Chanel/Prada的人来说，

连LV都要那么贵，为什么我不直接回家买Chanel/Prada呢？

为什么我不买就是我的错呢？

难道我的钱不能花得更有价值吗？

一定要浪费在这个CP值不高的“LV”身上吗？

*我是在assume着LV比Chanel/Prada便宜。不确定是不是。

因为本人现在连一个Prada/Chanel/LV/Gucci都没有。。。

过后这位朋友就说其实那家店有比较普通的食物和他们的仪器和一种鱼类是只是他们家才有的。

然后说过了就算了，不要再提了。

但是我很庆幸的是我当下有狠下心说配她吃，是她不要罢了。

其实在我们还没有去那家店之前，

当我们和我们的司机谈起时，感觉上他也觉得那件店overpriced. 

我的朋友也上网查了一些鱼类的价钱，

发现到KL一些知名的餐馆的海鲜售价还比他们便宜。

所以她也觉得那不如在KL吃，至少还可以post FB炫耀啊。

她觉得那位朋友不应该把她的情绪发泄在我身上，

我也这么认为，可是我很理性的处理了这件事。

就是我知道她就是一个这样的人，所以选择不和她计较。

毕竟作为朋友，她还是有很多优点的。

把这件事写下来是为了记录下原来我在不知不觉中好像成熟了不少。

因为如果是以前的我，我应该已经也在发脾气，

选择不谅解她，然后一直说自己的对的，是她错。

现在的我，知道自己有道理，选择不和她争吵。

另一个让我很庆幸的是我的另一位朋友能了解我，而且为我感到不平。

认为她不应该把脾气发在我身上。

而且不用我说得很明，就理解到我通常都只是在吃清蒸鱼的这件事。

我不是为了炫耀，只是有时候，换个角度想，你看的事情会不一样。

Kundasang/Ranau - Kinabalu Pine Resort

Hmm, I think this is the very first accommodation that I have decided to post a shout out in my blog.

When I was planning for my trip in Kota Kinabalu, we were looking for a place to spend the night which is comfortable, near, and with a good view of mount KK after hiking the famous Kinabalu Mountain.

We kinda plan this trip with a short notice and we spent a decent amount of time in training and getting the right gears for the hike. However, we took leisure in planning the accommodation because we were undecided of what to do and some of us had different ideas as to what to do after the hike.

As usual, when there's lack of consensus, a lot of discussions were going on and at a certain point, I was so frustrated that I just gave in and let my friends decide on what to do because I have tried my best to accommodate everyone's needs and to coordinate with our travel agent.

Both of them were headstrong where I just couldn't take it anymore. However, I did remain composed and tried to settle it while luckily, one of my friends was very helpful and did her part into helping me to get things sorted out before our departure. It was finalized at last and we manage to get our accommodation in Kinabalu Pine Resort despite it was stated as fully book in the websites we checked. 

However, we managed to sort things out and the travel agent manage to book a room in this resort for us and I feel no regrets in paying extra for the stay

My money was definitely well spent!

I have always wanted to stay in a place with a terrace and it was a dream come true moment for me when I reached there. Furthermore, it has really good view and I managed to spend some time sitting in the terrace at night alone and enjoyed the serenity. I felt really calm despite just finished my hike and the weather was cold too. I like it so much except that it was really cold, which was something that I wasn't prepared for. 

I think I will definitely revisit here because I seriously think that it's such a well maintained place with a very serene vibe and great scenery!!!

I'm amazed by how they are managing their place because both Kinabalu Park and the room here didn't have any smell that usually lingers in a wet and wood building.

我要到纽约Central Park跑步去！

刚才在吃饭的时候脑海里忽然飘过这个想法。

一想到明年计划要到纽约玩就很兴奋！

虽然这个计划不一定能成，可是我还是期待它能成行。

这个想法会闪过我的脑海大概事因为我“年轻”的时候看过Bride's war、Enchanted等等的电影吧。。。

还有很多其他不同的电影也都在这里取景啊~~~

电影都把它拍得好美。。。

曲家瑞也说过她为了一个男生而在那里跑步。。。

不懂为什么就想要到那里跑步+野餐吧。。。

趁着午餐时间把这个写下来，又是回到现实的时候咯。

"Picnic"

稍微认识我的朋友都知道我有多怕晒太阳，

我的朋友很爱开玩笑的叫我puteri lilin,因为我都说我晒太阳会融化。

其实我是怕晒黑，因为我妈从小就灌输我一白遮三丑的观念。

毕竟人都不美了，唯有希望由白这件事让自己看起来没有那么丑。

以前的我不明白为什么国外的人那么喜欢晒太阳和在大太阳下野餐。

我知道他们的冬天很冷，可是我自己就觉得在太阳下野餐很热和不舒服啊。

直到我在春天去了Perth的King's Park时，我才发现原来国外是那么适合野餐的天气。

天气很好，虽然太阳很大，可是风是冷的，而且很干；

在太阳下走也不会觉得热或是出汗感觉粘粘的。

附近工作的人都会到哪里吃午餐。

一些人自备午餐，而一些人则买午餐到哪里吃，好悠闲的感觉。

而且也可以从繁忙的工作当中得到一丝的宁静吧。

好享受哦~~~

这次从东京回来后发现，我最想念的竟然是悠闲的逛Meguro River的那天。

虽然没有把整条河走完，樱花也还没有满开，
可是至少算有享受到赏樱的感觉。

我们在途中也买了香槟和takoyaki来吃。

也拍了一些照片。

还有一些日本人在那里画画。

比较可惜的是哪里的人潮很多，所以你等不到可以拍照的时间。

虽然人多，但是幸运的事那里的人不会推着你走，大家会慢慢的顺着人潮走。

所以overall的感受还是positive的。

那天的天气也是最好的一天，因为没有下雨。

Show's Crazy World Tour 11.03.2017

什么？罗志祥演唱会的免费门票？

那我当然要看啊。

其实我不是他的粉丝，更不会唱他的歌。

连他的热门曲也不懂，可是既然是免费的，

而且又是我认识的艺人的演唱会，那当然不要错过啊！

就这样，我和我姐去看了这场演唱会。

还以为免费的，位置应该不怎么样，可是我错了，是PS2的票，而且还蛮正中间的。

看得到舞台，罗志祥也不会太小个。

看完以后我弟和他老婆问我们觉得好看吗？

我就说我觉得还好罢了，就像看一场表演。

可能因为我不会他的歌吧，而且我觉得他很多歌都没有唱完，

有点偷鸡的感觉。

这是他们就说演唱会都是这样的啊~~~

而且他还要跳舞。

我回说可是我之前看方大同的演唱会不是这样的。

可是他们说不可以这样比，

我心想那好吧。

我姐也一直说我很奇怪。

其实我的第一个反应事很生气，为什么我有要求就要被标签为奇怪呢？

可是我不敢反驳她，因为我想要避免不必要的争吵。

这时我也想起了CK说过的话，

他说其实我们都是奇怪的人，所以才会谈得来啊~

我一直以来都拼命的在否认这件事。

可是慢慢的，我越来越接受到其实我真的是很奇怪的人。

所以当我在检视着为什么我会生气的时候我发现到，

其实我只是不喜欢被标签为奇怪的人罢了。

对她来说，我可能真的是一个很怪的人啊。。。

而且可能她的表达方式不一样吧，

对于不接受她的norm的人来说，对她来说就是属于奇怪的人啊。

我想通了以后，就觉得可能我们真的有不同的要求吧。

只不过她表达的方式比较伤人而已。

其实我希望的只不过是至少acknowledge我的看法，然后再提出她的看法就好了。

没有必要标签我，也伤了我。

而我会生气，这也是我自己需要reflect的地方。

奇怪就奇怪啊，只要接受到自己原来是这样奇怪的人以后，

就不再对于被标签为奇怪而反应过大啊。

我就是那么奇怪的人，

以后也会做更多所谓“奇怪”的事情。

虽然没有到我奇怪可是我自豪的地步，

可是我希望以后当别人说我奇怪时，

我可以在不是defensive的状态下承认我就是一个奇怪的人，

因为那个奇怪的人就是我。

Bangkok - Art Box, Chatuchak, Terminal 21

我说了我想要把观光行程加进这一次的行程。

经过我的一番游说，我姐鼓起勇气决定一起到Chocolate Ville，

可是到最后，我们放弃了。因为行程上的更改啊。

所以Chocolate Ville唯有下次再去好了。

我们有去最近很有名的Art Box，可是去到的时候很多档口都已经关了。

可能是因为我们太迟到了吧。

幸好还有一些食物吃。

简单的吃了一些和随便逛逛后，我们没有买到东西就回酒店了。
还拍了一些照片。

而且时间还很早呢。（早的基准是12am以前）哈哈

星期六一早就到Platinum morning market和Platinum Fashion Mall逛完没有逛到的楼层。

然后再到Chatuchak。可是这一次的经验告诉我们我们以后可以放弃Chatuchak了。

因为物价没有以前那么便宜，衣服也没有Platinum Fashion Mall的美。

而且很热，我们还看到了有人在杀价，然后被卖家骂，老板也用泰文跟隔壁档口老板“投诉”。
我听不懂泰文，可是看表情和tone of voice,给我的感觉是在投诉。

*我们很胆小，所以过后都不敢杀价*

而且现在很多店都会写不可杀价/不减价之类的了。

话说我这一次买的东西好像都没有什么杀到价。

其实不是我们不杀，而是她们都令愿不做你的生意啊。

当我问可以减价吗，她们都会说，这是最便宜的了/不能减价。

所以我看到喜欢的，只要价钱是我接受到的我都默默给钱。

因为我不想被骂。

过后还去吃了B-Story,装饰得很漂亮，而且就在BTS旁边。
价格和KL的cafe差不多，大约每人RM30-40.
看你order什么啦。

当我们以为我们会在Chatuchak待超过半天时，
我们好像两个小时不到还是3个小时后就决定了要去另一间网上介绍的shopping mall逛逛。

那就是Union Mall，

我们在McD吃了一些东西休息一下后就到处逛逛。

可是没有什么好买的，而且那里真的都是local在逛，

所以买东西问价钱都不方便。

而且款式没有Platinum Fashion Mall那么美和便宜。

到最后，我们还去了Terminal 21吃Swensen冰淇淋和逛到了我姐最想去的Pratunam Night Market.

这么多还不到RM50,很值得。

我们3个人吃到很爽。

也买到了她很想吃的100baht烧鱼，其实是盐焗鱼。

很好吃，很新鲜，便宜又大条。

对了Terminal 21 外面有meter taxi可以搭，

还有地方可以坐下来等呢。

所以以后在Terminal 21附近逛的话可以到这里找meter taxi.
终结最后就是个人觉得Platinum Fashion Mall是最好逛的，而且有冷气和干净的厕所。
我觉得Platinum Fashion Mall和KL的金河/Time Square差不多，
都是卖一些时下流行的服饰，可是品质方面当然没有那么好啊。
*其实我很久没有去过金河/Time Square了，所以我不知道现在还是不是一样*
如果你都穿有牌子的衣服，那这里当然一点都不适合你啦。
所以就看个人咯。
如果要高级一点的百货公司的话可以到Siam Paragon, Terminal 21, Siam Square, Siam Discovery, Central World之类的.
就像KL的Pavilion, KLCC, Fahrenheit 88, Sungai Wang, Lot 10, Time Square一样，
邻近，可是格调却全然不同。

晚餐是Black Canyon的Tom Yam.

Bangkok (22-26/02/2017) - Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun

几年前第一次去了Bangkok,那时也是所谓的shopping trip,

可是我们去了Madame Tussaud.

因为是第一次去,所以我对于Chatuchak, Asiatique, Terminal 21, Platinum Fashion Mall, Pratunam morning & night market, Baiyoke Sky buffet和一些其他的地方都保持着观光的心态。

还记得我第一次吃了Swensen的ice cream chocolate dip...

虽然当时真的很累很累，可是现在都不记得那些累了。

只记得去过的地方和开心的吃喝玩乐。

这一次是第二次去，我和我姐说我想要加一些观光的行程，

不要只是shopping.

因为shopping trip让我觉得内疚,

可是我姐一针见血的说，这本来就是shopping trip啊~

可是才刚过新年啊，我不缺衣服leh.

最后我决定了为了不要天天都shopping,那就去皇宫吧。

我不知道为什么要去皇宫，

可是当我决定要做一名死游客会做的事情时，

皇宫必然是首选啦。

原因很简单，因为皇宫是旅游胜地啊！

毕竟我也没有到那里观光过嘛。。。

游客当然要做死游客会做的事情！

我姐说，既然要去皇宫，那就一起去Wat Pho（卧佛寺）, Wat Arun（黎明寺/郑王庙）。

因为他们很接近，既然都去观光了，就一起去吧。

她有走过这样的行程。

所以Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun的“半日游”开始了。

一开始我姐有说要陪我们去，可是她已经去过两次了。

Grand Palace的入门票还要500baht呢！

我就和她说，那你去别的地方逛逛吧，不要浪费钱在入门票上了。

而且她在排行程的时候都有很多想去的地方可是却塞不进行程里。

我就说服了她自己到处逛逛把。

可是计划永远赶不上变化，

我们迟了起床、迟了出门，

因为种种预想不到的情况，我们决定了更改行程。

是的，我人已经到了皇宫后才决定的。

其实因为我二姐很累想在酒店休息，

所以我提议我大姐陪我到Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun的“半日游”行程。

可是她已经有想去逛的地方了，所以拒绝了我。

最后我二姐还是和我一起进行了Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun的“半日游”。

天气很热，我姐很累，也走了不少冤枉路。

所以我其实写这篇是为了让大家知道如何进行这个半日游的行程的。

因为到Grand Palace的train还在建着，所以很多人都是搭taxi去Grand Palace的。

据我大姐说，找到跟meter的taxi很难。

可是我和我二姐还是尽力克服了这个问题，

除了一次。

我和我姐在Pratunam大约问了一辆还是两辆taxi就找到跟meter的taxi去Grand Palace了.

大约80-100baht吧，看路况有没有塞车。

所以大家不要被其他的文章影响，先入为主的觉得难找就不去尝试。

虽然真的是比较烦，但是对于我这些平凡人来说这就是旅行要克服的事情之一。

当然，如果预算够的话就包车吧。

用钱买方便和减少烦恼是一件很美好的事！

不用一定要经历困难才会体验到皇宫的美哦~~~

*因为我不是提倡自助旅行的达人，我只是一个贪图享受的却又必须存钱才可以去旅行一般上班族啊。所以我会有这样的建议*

用一部分的钱可以买方便和减少烦恼，当然要做啊！
*如果“代价”（就是太贵的意思）太大的话，我可能会先前把路都查好，然后避免额外的开销*

到了Grand Palace就跟路牌排队买票，拿地图，然后就可以开始拍游客照和逛一逛了。

Grand Palace的套票有包括看玉佛和Textile Museum。

因为没有做功课，以为靠Google Map就可以，所以找玉佛寺的时候走了一点冤枉路。

我主张看Google Map靠自己，而我二姐则偏向问人；

所以有了一点争执。

我有不爽，因为我又不是故意找错路的。

可是算了吧，现在发现到这些差异也不迟。

其实皇宫，玉佛寺，和Textile Museum都在同一区，

千万不要走出来，在里面问人就好了。

对了，到皇宫记得穿长裤，不然就要排队借布来“遮羞”。

*很麻烦*

我就是那么的讨厌麻烦的人。

为了省去麻烦，还是穿长裤吧。

而且曼谷都有卖那种薄薄的长裤，可以买来穿。

不然穿长裙也不错，通风，很凉的。

重头戏来了，如何从Grand Palace走到Wat Pho，

我的建议就是善用科技，

其实电话卡不是很贵，而且很有用；

如果有预算就买了吧，有急事也可以报警啊~

我们在机场买的299baht，7天，无限上网，100baht打电话。

Google Map可以选走路，它会带你走最近的路的。

我跟着走，并没有走错路。大概15分钟就会到了。
*腿短+慢的我15分钟，如果你腿长或是有好体力的话，可能不用10分钟*

如果我的预测没有错的话，其实就是从皇宫出来后绕着皇宫走了半圈就会到达卧佛寺。

然后其实很多人都在走，可是如果你自己有Goggle Map当然会比较安全和方便啦。

其实也可以搭Tuk Tuk，可是我很懒得讨价还价和杀价，

所以令愿自己走。

而且两个女生，根据我姐不是很安全，因为不懂他会载你去哪里。

还有Wat Pho的入门票是100baht。

买票还有免费一瓶小水，记得拿啊~~~

然后就和卧佛拍照。

从Wat Pho到Wat Arun更简单，你只要到码头塔船就是了。

可是很多人都没有写清楚码头的名字是什么，

所以我又花了一点时间figure out码头的名字。

从Wat Arun的出口走到码头不到5分钟。

码头的名字是Tha Tien pier。
Again, 善用Google Map就对了！

我是从Wat Pho的地图找到的。

因为网上都没有写好，
可是我综合大家“你过河”的说法和“码头很近，走路可以到”之类的话后，
推测出应该就是地图上所写的码头（可是名字不对啊！）。

就是这时我决定了回来一定要写这篇的原因。

为什么大家都不把码头名字写好？

可是我有看到说码头在装修之类的，所以可能这是暂时的还是什么。

我是2017年2月去的。

可是如果你是近期去的话，这个讯息应该还可以用。

船上可以远观白色的Wat Arun。

网上说可以在这里看日落。

Wat Arun的门票是50baht （我姐说以前是免费的）。

到了Wat Arun，我随便拍了一张照片就原路走回去搭船塔taxi去做spa.

塔船很便宜，才4baht一趟，也不用怎样排队，反正船一次可以载很多人。

第一，我姐已经走不动了；

第二，我没有心情拍照了；

第三，我热到没有心情了。

第四，Wat Arun在修整，看不到全貌。

第五，预约的spa和massage要到时间了。

而且本人修养有限，不是很懂得欣赏。

最后，因为实在是找不到跟meter的taxi,

最后就给了180baht了事。

*这就是唯一的一次啦*

可能事因为时间关系，也可能因为他们都知道我们已经在那一区了，

没有其他方法出去市区，所以就都不肯跟meter吧。

可是我前一天早上到了皇宫以后再找 meter taxi回去Pratunam的时候是有找到。

可以上网的另好处就是不怕taxi driver兜路，然后骗钱。

因为你可以光明正大的开Google Map,

然后看着他有没有向你要去的方向行驶。

而且如果你自己一个人搭taxi也不怕，

因为你的Google Map会告诉你他载着你去哪里。

毕竟旅行时，自己的人生安全还是最重要啊。

其实我有看到taxi driver会偷瞄你的电话。

所以这样做除了可以为人生安全，也可以避免被骗。
如果真的很衰遇到了想伤害你的人，挑个热闹的地方跳车吧！

新一年。新开始

那天朋友聊起他们日本旅游的经验和想要重游日本，

大家就疯狂的开始讨论有没有一起去的可能。

一开始，我和JengMun都等着LaiYing的决定，
毕竟我们没有和她一起去旅行过啊，
当她开始工作并答应和我们一起去时，
我们很当机立断的开始了买机票的行动。

就这样，我们在3号那天就买了机票，
虽然CK和他的妹妹遇到了一些问题，
可是大家最好都买好了机票。
也出现了很搞笑的组合，
我们6个人一起去旅行，可是都在不同天和时间抵达东京。
可是大致上都没有什么太大的出入，
毕竟只是一点时间点上的差异罢了。

过后的2-3天里，我们把住宿都安排好了。

当事情都做好了以后，看一看花的钱，

我忽然觉得自己好像做了一个冲动的决定，

可是看樱花eh,还有和朋友去eh。

我们好像很久没有一起出国玩了！

我都和我自己说，看樱花当然要付出钱的代价啊。

那时是peak season，怎么可能不贵呢？

机会难得啊，钱以后再赚就有啦，机会又不是天天都有。

而且我们都很efficient的把事情都安排好了。

虽然今年的其中一个目标是到一个新的地方/国家旅行，

可是我从来都没有想过我真的会有去日本的一天啊!

毕竟日本从来都没有在我想去的国家的list里名列前茅过。

但是樱花有出现过，可是我一直都以为我可以到首尔看，不一定要到日本。

好吧，既然都成行了，那大概就是神的安排吧.

我要好好的享受咯！！！

而且我今年可能真的很有出国运吧，

曼谷和清迈的机票是去年买好的，

我有一点担心自己是不是太过分了。

可是毕竟去年哪里都没有去啊！

今年要把去年的份一起玩！

It's about Singapore again... 17 - 21 June 2015

I have the opportunity travelling to Singapore again mid-June because of a conference and I was actually looking towards it.

And I'm back, few days ago. It took me some time to write this because I was sick and things were going on. I don't seemed to have enough rest, but I'm writing this. This was my first conference and I was actually surprised that wines were served at the end of each day. It was fun meeting people from different countries and listening to their experiences in counseling. I enjoyed the chatting sessions!

This post was kinda delayed and delayed because of my health issues. Now that I feel better and healthier, I want to complete this happy post as soon as possible. =) Owh, I have been neglecting this for so long~~~

Well, other than the conference, I actually have the opportunity to stay in Marina Bay Sands Singapore this time round, which is also a prestigious hotel. It was famous for it's infinity pool and also a sky park. When I went to Singapore with Jeng Mun in January, we were standing opposite this hotel admiring the magnificent building and discussed how we wished to stay there the next time we visit Singapore. Well this time round, it was a wish came true and I stayed in there and I actually asked my friend to join me since good things are meant to be shared and happiness are meant to be shared! My cousins will be there too!

The stated check-in time is 3 pm but I reached around 2 pm and they allowed me to check-in. So it was good, but they don't have a room which is on the same level as my cousin. I was reluctant to take the room at first, but anyway, because I'm too tired, I took the room. It was on tower 3, level 33. My cousin's room is on level 39. Hmm, level 33 is not a good level because I have to transfer to another escalator to go to level 57 for the infinity pool and sky park. But compared to those with a lower level, maybe level 33 is not too bad at all. The air conditioning in the room was great because it was too cold that I have to open the balcony door to lower the temperature of the room and it actually has a smart design that when you actually open the balcony door, the air condition will be stopped. 

My room was facing the Garden's by the Bay. It was a good view because it's not noisy during the night. Here are some of the pictures I took using a selfie stick for the FIRST time!

The night scenery was really great! We can even see the merlion up there!
But it was really COLD~~~

Then, on Saturday morning, my cousin brought me to a cafe named Common Man Coffee  Roasters.
However, this cafe was not as common as it's named.
The food there was really nice and my cousin said that they provide the best coffee around there.
This place is so famous that queuing is common there and there were people come and go.
It was really busy and I think the owner there doesn't have to worry about having no business/customers.

The portion was really big and I was feeling so full after finishing everything. 

Someone told me that this is expensive and doesn't worth it but I think the prices are around the same as KL's cafe and if you don't convert, it wasn't really expensive, I think. 

Another highlight of my trip to Singapore is this, 

LLAO LLAO!

I'm sure you have heard me saying this because llao llao is only available in Singapore and the "raffaello" sauce is so nice!!!

I have had llao llao 3 times when I was there this time!

The journey comes to an end on that Sunday where CK was so nice to send me off to the airport...

We had a quick lunch before I came back to Malaysia at Terminal 3, but I don't remembered the name of the fried chicken that we had! Oh my, I have left this post for too long!

But the fried chicken was really nice and I really enjoyed it so much! But it can be very heaty because it's fresh from the oil! They are at the right size and I was able to finish all 3 of them.

Hahaha, it was a surprise for me. 

This trip was so tiring for me that the moment I boarded the plane, I dozed off! Gosh, can you imagine that? I didn't even finish watching the air stewardess' safety measures and what to do if emergency happens. I tried so hard to remained my eyes open but I failed. My eyes weren't in my control at all! And the strangest thing is, I don't usually sleeps in plane because I don't feel comfortable and I just can't get any sleep when I'm in a plane in the past.

When I actually woke up, it was due to the announcement by the captain asking cabin crew to get ready for landing. What?

Hmm. I guess this trip was maybe just too tiring for me and I walked too much maybe?
